Kim Kardashian said her divorce from Kanye West was saddened that “she didn’t know it existed.”
The founder of Skims, who has been married three times and divorced, said the divorce was different from the previous separation because the couple had four children: North, 8, St., 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
“I was separated then and it was very difficult,” Kardashian said in an episode of Hoda Kotb. Podcast “Creating space”. on Monday. “I would say that divorce as a child was a completely different level of pain and a difficult time that I didn’t know existed.”
“But I really wanted to make a decision and it wasn’t a quick decision,” the Keeping with the Kardashians star said of the end of her marriage to West. He added that “spending a lot of time together after too much time” makes you “realize what really makes you happy”.
“I think some people might try to think that maybe it was a selfish decision, because I have four children and I want to consider everyone’s feelings,” the beauty mogul added. “But I think sometimes I thought, ‘I really want to choose my happiness over everything and my peace.’
“I was only interested in something. “My mom always cried for me when I was in a bad relationship,” Kardashian said. “She always says, ‘All I want for my kids and all I want for you is peace of mind.’ And when I woke up and realized I didn’t have it, I was looking for it ”.
Kardashian filed for divorce from the West in February 2021, after nearly seven years of marriage.
Nearly a year later, the businessman was only legally declared after West continued to postpone the divorce process and insult Kardashian in online attacks.
“Divorce is pretty hard for our kids and Kanye’s obsession with controlling and manipulating our situation in a negative and public way only brings more pain for everyone,” he wrote on Instagram.
“In the beginning I wanted nothing more than a healthy and cooperative relationship, because it’s the best thing for our kids and it’s sad that Kanye keeps doing the impossible at every step,” he added.
