A native of the city of Chiquita, located in the province of Ascop, in La Libertad, the People’s Artist reported that his beginning as a singer dates back to the church choir, and also that his passion for singing music with his voice arose from the influence that his father and uncle had on him Santiago.

Currently, in addition, cumbiambero is developing a career as a soloist. “Even here I didn’t imagine that I would sing cumbia or love cumbia. I was more of a ballader, I loved the rancher.
