A burlesque aesthetic, a low-key vibe… the Franco-American actress’ release gave a taste of what’s in store for HBO’s explosive and subversive new blockbuster. Lily-Rose Depp wore a fuchsia pink cutout bodysuit that hugged her curves. Only pink satin garter belts completed this parade worthy of a Moulin Rouge showrunner. Do we need to mention the French ancestry of Vanessa Paradis’ daughter? Or a reference to Nicole Kidman, the mischievous Satine from Baz Luhrmann’s Parisian establishment.

In the caption, Lily-Rose Depp captioned it “Josley,” followed by a reference to “@The Idol.” Chanel’s muse stars as Jocelyn, a rising pop star who meets a Los Angeles club owner played by The Weeknd. Adding to this XXL cast are singer Troye Sylvan, Blackpink’s K-Pop group Jennie Kim, who is also Chanel’s muse, as well as Debbie Ryan. And to top it off, the series was co-created by The Weeknd and series creator Sam Levinson. Euphoria which has inspired many fashion and beauty trends. A show that already promises to be gorgeous both in terms of actors and its costumes.
