“Jack in the Cursed Box 2: Awakening” will arrive at cinemas in Peru This Thursday, August 25th. The horror story goes back to a new case involving a doll in a new family.
As the official synopsis tells us, a wealthy heiress on the brink of death and her devoted son open a mysterious box, unaware of the creepy one but hoping for a surprise they will unleash. Desperate, Olga and Edgar Marsdale make a dark deal with a dark creature hidden in a box: a miraculous cure for a terminal illness that has struck a rich woman in exchange for the lives of six innocent victims.
The British-made film, written and directed by Lawrence Fowler, is inspired by the old and little-known legend of boxes made to hide demons. Actors Matt McClure and Nicola Wright play troubled Edgar and Olga Marsdale, joined by James Swanton as Jack, Molly Hindle as Amy and Mikaela Longden as Janet.
The film was produced by Jeff and Lawrence Fowler and directed by Cameron Bryson. For her part, Isabella Larter excels in makeup and special effects. “Jack in the Cursed Box 2: Awakening” combines two of the strongest sub-genres of cinematic horror: killer clowns and demonic toys.
With his second appearance on the big screen, Jack joins the catwalk of horror creatures. The film opens in theaters in Peru on August 25 and is based on the legend of the “innocent and unique toy”.
Terror takes over national cinemas
