The adaptation is in the pre-production period by Warner Bros.
With pre-production already started by Warner Bros., the live-action Barbie, the famous Mattel doll will feature the actor Will Ferrell (‘The Legend of Ron Burgundy’ and ‘A Leprechaun in New York’) to complete the film’s cast, according to information published by The Hollywood Reporter.
Despite completing the production casting, the role of ferrel has not been officially confirmed, however the magazine reports that the actor will play the “CEO of a toy company that may or may not be Mattel”.
Besides ferrelother great actors will be present in the feature, starting with Margot Robbie (‘Suicide Squad’) who will star in the adaptation playing Barbie and Ryan Gosling (‘La La Land’) responsible for bringing Ken to life.
It is worth remembering that names like America Ferrera (Superstore), Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live) and Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) will also be part of the film, however their roles have not yet been released.
Directed by Oscar nominee Greta Gerwig the new cinematographic work still doesn’t have a premiere forecast, trailers or images that can tell a little about the plot of the long, so fans should wait a little longer to get new information.
