California Red Hot Chili Peppers Receive Honorable Mention global icon at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 28 in New Jersey, USA.
Also nominated in the category “Best Rock Video” for the song “Black Summer” from their latest album “endless Love(2022) Red Hot Chili Pepper they will receive this award for a career “capable of making an outstanding cultural impact over time, leaving an indelible mark on the music scene.”
This was pointed out this Friday by MTV’s announcement that the Californian quartet would be performing during the gala, marking their return to the awards after their memorable and final performance in 2000.
More Artists Confirmed for MTV VMAs 2022
In addition to Red Hot Chili PepperAs previously announced, the 2022 MTV VMAs will feature other outstanding performances from Anitta, BLACKPINK, J Balvin, Jack Harlow, Lizzo, Måneskin, Marshmello x Khalid, Nicki Minaj and Panic! At the disco.
It was also confirmed that three hip-hop superstars LL COOL J, Jack Harlow and Nicki Minaj will be featured as hosts, who will also receive an honorary award in recognition of her lifetime of achievement, the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
