Police Scotland have confirmed they are investigating an ‘online threat’ received by J.K. Rowling following a denial expressed by the author “Harry Potter“to the attack he suffered last Friday from writer Salman Rushdie.

Rowling turned to her account Twitter to make sure she was “disgusted” by the attack on Rushdie and hoped “she’ll be alright”, but soon after she received a response in her thread warning her: “Don’t worry, you’ll be next”.

The Scottish-based English writer took a screenshot of the message and shared it on her social media before the Pakistani-based account user deleted it this Sunday.

Police are investigating the threat

A spokesman for the Scottish Police said “they have received a complaint about an online threat” and noted that “they are investigating”.

According to various media reports, the same user who threatened Rowling posted other messages from that Twitter account praising the man who stabbed. Rushdie during a conference in New York, USA.

It is now known that the British writer “began to recover,” his agent said last Sunday. “He’s off life support, so his recovery has begun,” literary agent Andrew Wylie said in a statement sent to several media outlets. “It takes time. The injuries are serious, but his condition is improving,” he added.

Warner Bros condemns threats

Warner Bros Discovery (WBD), responsible for the adaptation of the HHarry Potter”, issued a statement in which he “strongly condemns” the threats against JK Rowling.

“We support her and all authors, novelists and creators who boldly express their opinions and creativity. WBD believes in freedom of speech, peaceful speech and supports those who speak their minds in the public sphere,” the company said.

He also expressed solidarity with Rushdie and his family for a “senseless act of violence in New York” where an Indian-born British writer is recovering from injuries sustained after an attack.

The author remains in hospital in a critical condition with damage to the liver, kidneys and eye that he could have lost, but his condition is improving and he no longer needs assisted ventilation. (According to EFE)

EER 4×06 BETTY LA FEA leaves Netflix as the best streaming service

Ugly Betty is one of those sweet soap operas that turned ordinary situations into a TV phenomenon. In this episode, we comment on what we like (or dislike) most about the telenovela created by Fernando Gaitan, the villains, the characters, and even reflect on our own lives (as always, you already know us). You don’t listen anymore.
