Eurovision 2023: The candidate cities for hosting the contest have been named

Ukraine, as the winning country of Eurovision 2022, will automatically enter the grand final of the upcoming contest.

After it was confirmed that next year, instead of Ukraine, for security reasons, the international song contest Eurovision 2023 will be hosted by the United Kingdom, several cities have been announced that claim to host contest. Metro reported it.

It was noted that 20 British cities agreed to host Eurovision, of which only seven were selected. While the mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, insisted that the event should take place in the English capital, he did not make a list.

Thus, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield can host the annual show.

Earlier it was reported that Eurovision 2023 for security reasons will be held in the UK, which took second place, and not in Ukraine.
