The unexpected death of Diego Berti shocked the national and international art scene. Several colleagues and friends of the actor have taken to social media to express their condolences and highlight his versatility in theatre, film, television and music.

It was in his final days that he resumed his career as a singer and went to various programs and radio spots to promote his music show. In an interview he gave Veronica Linaresthe artist touched on some aspects of his personal life and the projects he led.

Life is so fragile that you don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, so I don’t want to leave anything halfway. That’s where my return to music came from,” he said.

“Today, a person who is homophobic loses and looks bad. I figured this out many years ago. All my family, my friends and even my daughter knew about it. The toilet didn’t exist for me, but I don’t. I don’t need to talk about it (…) I did it because I feel that we, more than ever, need to have a voice,” he added.

DEATH OF DIEGO BERTI
