The comic that tells the story of the American superhero is considered a rarity
The first issue of the Captain America comic book published by Timely Comics, the predecessor to Marvel Comics, was auctioned for historical value at Heritage Auction. The work, which is considered a rarity, sold for around $3.1 million, as reported by IGN.
The total amount acquired by ‘Captain America Comics nº 1’, a work written by the duo Joe Simon and Jack Kirby was $3,120,000, which is equivalent on average to R$14 million at the current price.
The fact made the magazine that tells the origin of the American hero to enter the ranking of the most expensive comics in the world, thus occupying the fifth position.
In addition, the HQ that was launched in 1940 carries yet another curious factor. With circulation started during World War II, the cover that shows German soldiers in the background highlights Steve Rogers punching Adolf Hitler in the face.

It is worth remembering that in the year of publication, the United States had not yet entered the conflict, a fact that occurred only one year after the publication of the work.
