The film opens in Italy in the 1930s against the backdrop of the rise to power of the Nazis, led by dictator Benito Mussolini.

The streaming service Netflix has published a teaser trailer for the musical cartoon Pinocchio, the Oscar-winning director Guillermo Del Toro. The video was posted on Youtube.

It was mentioned that the plot of the film will take place in Italy in the 1930s during the reign of Benito Mussolini.

“No other art form has influenced my life and work more than animation, and I have never had such a deep personal connection with any literary character as with Pinocchio. In our story, Pinocchio is an innocent soul with an indifferent, indifferent father. Lost in a world he doesn’t understand, he goes on an extraordinary journey, which encourages him to understand his father and the real world,” said del Toro.

The film is slated to release in December 2022.

It was previously reported that the network has a trailer for the series Interview with the Vampire, based on the novel by American writer Anne Rice.
