Starring Mason Thames and Nico Parker, the live-action of ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ is already playing in Brazilian theaters
The long -awaited moment has come! This Thursday, 12, the movie “How to Train Your Dragon”, live-action that adapts the famous animation originally released in 2010 by Dreamworks Animation, inspired by the book saga of the same name written by Cressida Cowell.
The new work follows the same plot of the lively feature that debuted 15 years ago, but presents some small changes, in order to give the story that accompanies the adventures of a young Viking named Berk Island, where everyone follows the same duty: killing dragons. However, the boy can change the tradition of his people by making friends with Banguela, a powerful fury of the night, the most mysterious and feared dragon of all.
Live-action features the following synopsis: “The plot of the new feature will be similar to that of the history of the first animation, focusing on Hiccup, a young Viking that does not have the ability to fight dragons, a local tradition. His life changes when he helps Banguela, one of these creatures, which makes him see the relationship between humans and dragons in a new way. Together, they will have to prove in harmony.”
It is worth remembering that, in addition to the 2010 movie, the “How to Train Your Dragon” franchise also featured two more feature films released in 2014 and 2019, and Spin-Offs in the format of short films and series. They are: “How to train your dragon-the series,” “Dragons: Run to the Limit,” “Dragons: The Legend of the Dragon Break”, “Dragons: The Fury of the Night” and “Dragons: The Book of Dragons.”
The new live-action has the direction of Dean Debloissame filmmaker responsible for the animations, being starring a heavy cast. Among the actors that make up the movie, we have: Ruth Codd (The midnight club), Bronwyn James (Wicked), Harry Trevaldwyn (My Lady Jane), Gabriel Howell (Bodies), Julian Denisson (Deadpool 2), Nick Frost (Shredded lead) and Gerard Butler (300), besides Nico Parker (The Last of Us) as Astrid and Mason Thames (The Black Phone) Interpreting the protagonist, Hiccup.
