This is because the song marks the great duet of Glinda and Elphaba in the second part of the musical and the movie. In the lyrics, they sing together: “Because of them/everything has changed/in me”, highlighting how transformative their friendship was, which, even very different in the way of thinking and acting, managed to connect in a unique way.
