Lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Green, a Georgia Republican who liked social media posts about the execution of prominent Democrats, said Wednesday that she denounced comedian Jimmy Kimmel to U.S. Capitol police for a jokes about him.
In his monologue Tuesday night, Kimmel taunted Green for accusing three Republican senators of “prophecy” as they voted in favor of Supreme Court nominee Katanji Brown Jackson.
“Wow, where’s Will Smith when he really needs you, huh?” Kimmel jokes and refers to the actor who knocked out comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars last month.
“The threat of violence against me was featured by @jimmykimmel on @CapitolPolice,” Green wrote on Twitter, adding a segment of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Green was expelled from the House of Representatives committee last year because he supported conspiracy theories and calls for violence before taking office on social media.
He supported theories that the school shootings took place and approved Facebook posts calling for the assassination of Democratic politicians, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former President Barack Obama, as well as FBI agents believed to be other believers. He is a staunch supporter of Trump supporters, who have been accused of a violent siege of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, and recently accused Ukraine of invading Russia.

Kimmel was not bothered by Green’s alleged police report:
