Already sixth feature film of the largest blockbuster of the decade, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, will also be released at the end of the year. Previously planned for May 7, 2027, now the feature will only be on theaters on December 17, 2027.

Marvel calendar change

The date of February 13, 2026 was canceled, while November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2027, previously destined to MCU feature films, were resigned for productions classified as “Untitled Disney”.
With the changes, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Spider-Man 4’, starring Tom Holland In partnership with Sony, they remain the only MCU films scheduled for 2026. Both will be released in December, in the same debut window as ‘Spider-Man: No return home’, which in 2021 raised $ 1.9 billion at a global box office.
The new schedule also establishes an interval of over a year without launches of the studio between ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’, scheduled for July 25, 2025and ‘Spider-Man 4’, scheduled for July 31, 2026. This will be MCU’s largest hiatus since the pandemic break between ‘Spider-Man: away from home’ (2019) and ‘Black Widow’ (2021).
Despite the cuts, Disney maintained three dates reserved in 2028 for future Marvel projects, such as February 18, May 5 and November 10. Remember that titles like ‘Armor Wars’ and ‘Blade’ are confirmed, but still without defined debut dates.
