Croatia Marco Boshnyak representatives believe that countries involved in wars – in particular Israel and Ukraine – should not participate in the eurovision.
After the first semifinal of the Eurovision-2025, Croatia singer Marko Bošnjak, who did not go to the final, made a strong statement that caused an active reaction to social networks.
On her Instagram, the artist expressed convincing that any country participating in an armed conflict should not compete with the eurovision. In his appeal, he mentioned both Ukraine and Israel.
“Israel should be excluded from the Eurovision because they are actively carrying out the Palestine Genocide. Second, if the country is actively involved in the war, it does not matter if it is an aggressive or injured, it should not participate in the competition because it creates a complex environment for other participants and countries during competition,” Marko said.
At the same time, he expressed support for Ukraine, who wants to security people and thank the semifinal points.
In particular, the singer said he spoke with the Ukrainian group Zferblat during a party in Madrid. According to him, the participants remember about a possible lack of final, but Bošnjak believes that the Ukraine diaspora in Europe plays an important role in voting, and there is no doubt as a result.
“I talked to the boys from the Zferblat team during the Madrid Party, and they were concerned about their possible final deficiency. And I don’t believe because, unfortunately, their country has a significant diaspora across Europe, so this group is certainly not the first chaos [в финал] From Ukraine. I stand for everything I said, but I don’t want Ukraine’s disqualification, but only Israel. All I wanted was to get a discussion about how to participate in countries during their war so that the competition was not political, “the artist said.
Marko Bošnjak completed his performance in the 12th place in the semifinals without going to the grand final.
Earlier it was reported that the soloist of Ukrainian group Zferblat Daniil Leshchinsky admitted that before the journey to the Eurovision-2025, doctors found chronic laryngitis and forbidden to sing.
