In recent years, South Korean film productions have become increasingly popular internationally. Officially called k-dramas, but known in Brazil only as doramas, South Korea series and movies have dominated the most watched lists from different streaming platforms from various countries.
Although most of the stories are set in different neighborhoods and cities, many productions have also established their global status by featuring some scenes that were recorded in other countries. Check out some!
1. Pressing in Love (2019)
Considered by many to be a mandatory production for those who want to enter the universe of k-dramas, the classic drama starring Hyun bin and Son Ye-jin“Landing in love” has some scenes that were recorded in the Iseltwald commune, located in Switzerland, which has as one of its main attractions Lake Brienz.
Synopsis: “In this perfect romantic adventure for marathon, a South Korean heiress has an accident and falls into the arms of a totally different man of her.”

2. Sun Descendants (2016)
Starring Song Joong-Ki and Song Hye-Kyothe success “Descendants of the Sun” presents some scenes recorded in beautiful places of Greece, such as the city of Aaráchova and Navagio Beach, on the coast of Zakynthos.

Synopsis: “South Korean elite troop officer Yoo Si Jin (Song Joong Ki) Falls in love with surgeon Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo), but their ideological differences force them to follow separately ways. When the war lists in a distant country, the SI unit is sent to the battlefield. Coincidentally, an incident in the workplace forces Mo Yeon to join a group of volunteer doctors in the same country. Gathered at random and having as a background a bloody war, the two will have to deal with their differences and find ways to accept each other. ”

3. Goblin (2016)
Another extremely loved drama by fans, “Goblin”, with Gong Yoo and KIM GO-EUNit presents in certain famous local scenes of Quebec, Canada, such as the Petit Champlain neighborhood and PARC du Bastion-de-de-Reine.

4. Queen of tears (2024)
Most recent success of the highest paid actor in the k-dramas industry, Kim Soo Hyun“Queen of Tears” presents the protagonist couple passing their honeymoon in Germany, passing places such as the Berlin Cathedral, the source of Neptune, the Iron Bridge in Frankfurt, and more.

Synopsis: “An heiress and her husband face a crisis in marriage and in life in this series considered ‘innovative and transformative’ for the time.”

5. Retaliation (2019)
Starred by Lee Sung Gi and Bae Suzy, Former member of the Girlgroup of K-Pop Miss A, in “retaliation”, the audience can find some scenes in Morocco, where the character of SUENG GI travel after the death of the nephew. Among the places that appear in the drama are the Medina neighborhood, and Merkala Beach beach in Tangier.

Synopsis: “Stunt Cha Dal-Geon decides to investigate his nephew death in an airplane crash with the help of secret agent GO Hae-Ri.
