This year’s semi -finals in Basel will surprise the audience of a new format for announcing participants taking place in the final.
This year, the Eurovision, which took place in the Swiss Basel, has introduced new policies for the expression of the finalists.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) said the changes would be entering the first semi -Finals, which begins on May 13 at 22:00.
Now the presenter will call the three applicants first for accessing the final, after which the cameras will focus on them, and the corresponding images have been broadcast on large screens. After a brief pause, one of the three was declared a finalist. This process can be repeated for each participant no more than three times if his name does not sound in the first attempt. This format is designed to strengthen the tension and focus on the performers, and not the leaders.
The last, tenth finalist will be expressed in a traditional format to maintain an element of surprise at the very end.
Keep in mind that on Tuesday, May 13, in the first semifinal, the Ukraine representative – Ziferblat Group will also compete.
Earlier it was reported that organizers first expressed how to view the main scene of Eurovision.
