Protesto Brasilia against the Amnesty PL were attended by BTS fans through mobilizations by Army Help The Planet group; Understand!
This Tuesday, 07, a group of BTS fans engaged in social and political causes, were in the protest organized in Annex II of the Chamber of Deputies, in Brasilia, against Bill 2.858/2022, known as the “PL of Amnesty” or “PL of the coup”, which was created so that the state does not punish those involved in the antideocratic attacks of 8 January 2023.
It turns out that the action, which had parliamentarians and the delivery of more than 180,000 signatures from the amnesty campaign for scammers, also had the support of Army Help The Planet, a group formed by fans only [conhecidos como ARMY] BTS Brazilians, who are supported by the group’s appeal to carry out collective actions for citizenship.
Thus, Army Help The Planet joined the act coordinated by the Democracy Pact, a coalition that brings together organizations such as Lamping Institute, our, Conectas and Institute Sou da Paz, and mobilized both face -to -face and online campaigns, using the hashtags #ararycontraanistia #semania #ararycontraooplandogolpe.
“This is a clear demonstration that youth is attentive and mobilized. It was a very rich experience to attend this meeting today and see youth defending this agenda. To be a fan is also to be a citizen,” says Mariana Facuroli, lawyer and codirer of Army Help The Planet.
More about the act against the Amnesty PL
In Congress, Bill 2,858/2022 aims to grant forgiveness to the participants of the undemocratic acts of 8 January, who were marked by the invasion and depredation of the headquarters of the National Congress, Supreme Federal Court (STF) and the Planalto Palace.
With this, movements against PL were created, because, as the Democracy Pact states in an official note, the PL is unconstitutional, unpopular and threatens the justice and democratic memory of the country.
“Although the project has been translated from an appeal to national pacification, it actually defends private interests and the denial of justice. The 1988 Constitution is clear in establishing that the crime of violent abolition of the democratic rule of law and the action of armed groups against the state are unenforceable and imprescriptible crimes,” the covenant defends democracy.
