Movie that opens in theaters on Thursday, 1, “Thunderbolts*” has mystery in the title resolved; See what is the answer!
Did you know that “Thunderbolts*” didn’t have the asterisk at the end of the title? The detail of the new movie of the Marvel Cinematographic Universe was placed after some announcements about the plot, but did not receive the explanation of the change along with the promotional news.
Since then, fans have tried to find the answer to what motivates the insertion of the graphic sign and, although there are several theories based on Marvel comics in an attempt to understand the inclusion of the asterisk, the doubt is only remedied in the final minutes of the feature – which is over two hours long!

It turns out that the plot follows Yelena Belova/Black Width, Alexei Alanovich Shostakov/Red Guardian, Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Ava Starr/Ghost, American Agent/John Walker, Trainer/Antonia Dreykov and Robert Reynolds/Watchtower after being arrested in a deadly trap organized by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, moment where they find themselves forced to embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their past, as the synopsis explains.
In this mission, they form a team. But, a team is not a team without a name, is it? So initially Thunderbolts comes to define them, inspired by the football team from which Yelena was part of childhood. However, this name has never been made official, opening a margin to emerge a new title for the anti-hero group-which really happens!
This is because, at the end of the movie, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine holds a press conference where he presents the heroes as the new Avengers. The name catches, after all, Thunderbolts* is renamed credits such as new Avengers, as well as a new logo and a special call that states that “the new Avengers will return.”
