After court maintaining an injunction of Newjeans (NJZ) activities, ador announces action against online defamation and illegal activities to members
Amid the provisional decision of the Central District Court of Seoul to maintain the restriction of independent activities of the NJZ (formerly Newjeans), on Wednesday, 9, the ador issued a statement stating that it will continue to write strict legal measures against any violation of the rights of group members.
According to the company, the increase in actions occurs due to the increase in volume and the severity of “malicious posts” directed to artists on online platforms. The label reported that it designated a team dedicated exclusively to the collection of evidence and the monitoring of violations in forums and social networks such as DC Inside, Ilgan Best, Nate Pann, FM Korea, Naver, Theqoo, YouTube, among others.
Reported infractions include defamation related to the nationality and appearance of artists, dissemination of false information, invasion of privacy, malicious insults and use of derogatory language. The agency said that in addition to requesting the removal of the content, it is also adopting legal measures, including formal complaints to the authorities.
The ador also stressed that “deepfake -related crimes” are also being the target of direct actions, after a suspect being detained and sent to the prosecution for involvement in production and dissemination of fake videos with the image of group members. According to the company, there will be no agreements or concessions during the legal process, and those responsible should face appropriate punishments in accordance with the law.
The agency also encouraged fans and the public to contribute complaints through the Hybe’s official protection of the rights of artists.

We would like to inform you about our legal actions to protect the rights and interests of Newjeans.Since the Newjeans debut, our agency has continuously monitored and taken legal measures against malicious online posts directed to artists. Recently, with the rapid increase in the volume and severity of malicious posts directed to the artists, we appoint additional dedicated personnel and further strengthen our response system.
We are actively collecting evidence of serious rights violations on various online platforms and social media channels, including DC Inside, Ilgan Best, Nate Pann, FM Korea, Naver, Blind, Dogdrip, Theqoo, PPOMPPU, X, YouTube and more. These violations include defamation based on the nationality or appearance of artists, dissemination of false information (false news), invasion of privacy, malicious insults and use of derogatory terms. In addition to promptly requesting the removal of such content, we are also seeking legal procedures.
In particular, for malicious posts that are repetitive or serious enough to constitute criminal behavior, we are taking strong measures, including the presentation of criminal complaints. We have already sent a complaint to the Yongsan Police Station and plan to continue to submit additional complaints as needed.
In addition, we are strictly responding to Deepfake crimes, which have become a significant social issue. We are closely cooperating with the investigative authorities regarding the production and circulation of false video materials directed to the artists. In fact, a related suspect has already been arrested and sent to the prosecution.
The ador is not involved in agreements or shows clemance under any circumstances when it comes to legal actions for the protection of the rights of our artists. We are committed to ensuring that perpetrators face appropriate punishment and we are actively exploring and implementing additional measures that can be taken at the company level.
