Find out what was the request that RM from BTS made that could change the fate of one of the characters in the anime ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’
With the popularity of anime, you can find fans of these Japanese animations usually adapted from manga across the world. Some of the enthusiasts of these productions can be found in the music world, as BTS members are declared fans of this universe, sharing titles they are watching and making constant recommendations for fans.
The titles that the Armys (as the group fans are called) know that idols have already followed are: “Attack on Titan”, which was watched by Jungkook; “Boku no Hero Academy” which was accompanied by V; “One Piece” that became a recommendation for Jinamong many others who ended up joining the list of what to watch in the free time of several admirers of the group.
In addition to recommendations, Romthe BTS leader, ended up taking advantage of his love for anime to make a special request for one of them: “Jujutsu Kaisen”, the animated version of the eponymous manga ofGEGE AKUTAMIWhich was released by Studio Mappa in 2020 to follow Yuji Itadori, a young man who trains the dangerous arts of Jujutsu wizards.
Surrounded by this dark and supernatural world of curses, production has two seasons of 24 and 23 episodes each, and has the following synopsis on Crunchroll:
“Yuji Ititari eats a cursed finger to save a classmate and now Ryomen Sukuna, a terrible and powerful sorcerer known as the King of Curses, inhabits the soul of Itadori. Guided by the Jujutsu Wizards, Yuji Itadori joins the Jujutsu School of Tokyo, an organization facing the curses. Under the leadership of Professor Satoru Gojo, Itadori befriends Megumi Fushumo and Nobara Kugisaki, students of the first year. “
But what was the request RM made for ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’?
[Cuidado! Spoilers do anime a seguir]
Part of what makes ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ being worshiped by fans is the dark atmosphere and the intense battles that can bring surprising conclusions to the narrative. In one of them, including one of the most beloved characters in the animation ends up dying: Kento Nanani.
It turns out that he, who is one of the most admired wizards of this universe by his centered and calm way, but still full of brutality, was mercilessly killed during the Shibuya incident. Who lasted the wizard’s life was Mahito, who did it in front of Yuji, the protagonist of the story, who had Nanani as a father figure.
Nanani’s death is considered one of the most painful by the anime aficionados and is constantly listed among the first places in the lists of those who bring together the losses of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ – and as a result, eventually led Rom Asking the title’s creators to bring the character back.
This happened when, taking advantage of the launch of the Arco Hidden Inventory movie trailer, Idol shared the preview with fans through the Instagram Stories tool, where he ended up writing in a faraway way: “Bring Nanami back”, showing that just like the other admirers of the title, it has not yet surpassed the loss of the loved character.
As much as it could cherish the hearts of the fan, the request, however, should not be accepted and unfortunately it will not be possible to see Nanami alive again. Still, those who like the narrative can expect new twists with the third season of the anime, which has no confirmed date for the premiere, and can see what happened before season two in the movie Compile Prequel that will accompany the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc, which will show Satoru Gojou and Suguru managed when they were still friends at school.
The feature film will debut in Japan on May 30, 2025.
