‘A Minecraft movie’ hits theaters today, 03

Adaptation of one of the most marketed games in the world, ‘a Minecraft film’ is now available in Brazil’s movie theaters

They arrived! This Thursday, 3, debuts in Brazilian theaters the feature film “A Minecraft Movie”, film adaptation of one of the best selling video games in history, having over 300 million copies marketed internationally: the Minecraft franchise.

The work follows the story of four misfits that cross a mysterious portal and will end up at Overworld, a cubic universe full of creatures and challenges, where they will have the leadership and help of an expert level craftsman.

The film, which brings an original story and only set in the game universe, is starred by Jason Momoa (Garrett), Jack Black (Steve), Emma Myers (Natalie), Danielle Brooks (Dawn) and Sebastian Eugene Hansen (Henry), where the quintet will have to work as a team to face a threat that puts this world in danger.

Directed from JARED HESSand script of Chris Bowman and Hubbel Palmer“A Minecraft movie” also promises to surprise fans of games with their game references, as, in addition to the famous character Steve, the work will also feature Nether, Creepers, Ghasts, Piglins, Skeletons and the famous Emerald Helmet.

In an interview with Variety, TORFI FRANS OLAFSSONsenior director of original content at Minecraft developer Mojang Studios, revealed that, in addition to having great professionals, he also received a special request to ensure that the film does not spoil the game universe: his son’s.

“The goal is if my children think I didn’t spoil everything,” he said. “Because that’s what they have told me all this time on this journey. My 18 -year -old son, who grew up with ‘Minecraft’, begged me, ‘just don’t let them spoil everything.’

The director also completed his speech by saying, “If I can go to the birthday party of a 10 -year -old child and are not despised, ridiculed or the target of collective anger, then I think I was successful.”
