Conflict Avengers vs X-Men
The war between the heroes was caused by the arrival of the phoenix force, a destructive cosmic entity that was on its way to the earth. The X-Men believed that the entity could save the mutants, while the Avengers saw Phoenix as a threat.
The trigger was when Captain America tried to capture hope Summers, a young Cyclops trained and considered the possible host of the Phoenix, causing the disagreement of the mutant team, thus starting the battle.
The struggle intensified when the Iron Man created armor to destroy the entity, but the plan goes wrong causing the entity to fragment, dividing its powers between five mutants: Cyclops, Emma Frost, Namor, Colossus and Magic. With almost divine powers, the so -called “phoenix quintet” began to reshape the world, eliminating hunger and wars.
However, the actions soon became unstable to what to date out of control and attacks Wakanda, leading the Avengers to declare total war against them.
Who won?

Reaching its peak when Cyclops absorb all the power of the phoenix force becoming the black phoenix, the fight has its climax at the moment the team leader kills Professor Xavier, forcing the union of Avengers and X-Men against him.
In the end, Hope Summers and the Scarlet Witch defeat the now villain, dispelling the Phoenix and restoring the earth’s mutants, who although they arrested Scott Summers, he remained convinced that he was right, not returning the team.
In the comics is also shown the regret of Captain America, who decides to create a new group, uniting heroes of both teams and calling them fabulous Avengers. Thus, besides changing the comics of the X-Men, the saga played a key role in the evolution of MCU.

The arrival of mutants in theaters can make room for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ to present the iconic confrontation between the two franchises, being a faithful adaptation or in a rereading of events, Premiere scheduled for May 1, 2026 promises to redefine the universe so well known to the marvetes.
