Sam Raimidirector of the three Spider-Man films released between the years 2002 and 2007 in theaters, returned to the MCU to direct the new feature entitled ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, however, with his return, fans did not stop wondering the idea of a fourth production on the web.
Asked by Fandango about the possibility of making a sequel with Tobey Maguirethe first role of the neighborhood friend in the films, and Kirsten Dunstthe classic Mary Jane, Raimi said that “anything is possible” after the multiverse concept:
After doing Doctor Strange, I realized that anything is possible. Anything in the Marvel universe, with any character. Master Tobey [Maguire] and love Kirsten Dunst. I think anything is possible.”
In addition, despite not having a project for a new feature, the director continued his response saying that he would still like to work with maguireeven if it was in another project:
I honestly don’t have a story or a plan, I don’t even know if Marvel would be interested in that right now. I don’t know what they think about it, I didn’t run after it. But it sounds beautiful. Even if it wasn’t a Spider-Man movie, I’d love to work with Tobey [Maguire] again, in another role.”
Still about maguirethe actor returned to play Peter Parker 15 years after the end of the trilogy of Raimi due to the opening of the multiverse in ‘Spider-Man: No Return Home‘ performed by Doctor Strange through a forbidden spell.
Thus, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ movie that will officially premiere on May 5 in Brazil should bring the Sorcerer Supreme right after that event seeking help from his ally Wong and the Scarlet Witch in order to restore an ever-changing world.
