The wait is about to come to an end! The expected and controversial live-action movie “Snow White” debuts in theaters tomorrow, 20, bringing news the classic story that became popular for the writing of Grimm Brothers In 1812, which was responsible for inspiring Disney’s first animated feature film: “Snow White and Seven Dwarfs” (1937).
To tell this story, Greta Gerwig (Barbie) co-wrote the script directed by Marc Webb (The spectacular Spider-Man), as names like Rachel Zegler(Love, sublime love), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman 1984), Andrew Burnap(The Front Room) and ANSU KABIA (Miss Scarlet) were cast to compose the main cast.
Before going to theaters to secure the ticket, popcorn and soda, the playground gathered 5 reasons to watch live-action; Check it out:
1. It is a good fairy tale with updates
For those who were concerned that the plot was distanced from the plot of the 1930s animation, the message is positive: ‘Snow White’ keeps the main elements of the animated title, even though it brings updates to the story.
This is because, the premise of the girl persecuted by her stepmother, the evil queen, when she is considered the most beautiful in the kingdom in the magic mirror remains there. Like the twists with the hunter, she finds shelter in the forest in the house of seven strangers and having her life back when she receives the kiss of love of her loving interest – but all this is explored in more depth.
It turns out that in the new movie, it is revealed more about Snow White’s past in the kingdom, just as there are new details about the queen’s ambitions, as well as the princess’s connection with her romantic pair being better explored and the protagonist’s seven new friends have even more relevance to the plot.
Without spoilers, the premise is that Snow White sees the kingdom that belonged to her father to be modified when the bad queen takes the throne. More than that, when the magical mirror reveals that she, who was taught to be fearless, just, brave and true, has the inner beauty superior to the stepmother, she ends up being placed in the sights of a hunter, who has the mission of leading the princess’s heart to prove that she ended the character’s life, and thus, the bad queen is the most beautiful of all.
Still, she, who is as pure as snow and was named after the day born in the midst of a snowfall, has her life spared and, with the help of nap, dengoso, happy, Atchim, Master, Angry, Dunga and the group led by Jonathan – the new love of Snow White – will have a chance to return to the kingdom to restore home justice.
2. The songs

Another positive point of live-action, which is certainly worth the ticket, are the songs. In addition to tracks such as “Heigh-Ho” and “Whistle While You Work” featured in “The Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (1937), the new movie has unreleased songs like “Waiting on a Wish” by Benj Pasek and Justin Paulthose who sign the soundtrack, which, like the classic, are also memorable and arouse various emotions along the scenes.
3. The new purpose of Snow White

As with animation, Snow White is forced to do domestic services on the castle at the behest of the bad queen, which causes her to go to the well and sing her desires for a better life than she has. However, while in the animated feature she aims to achieve happiness by having by her side who has always dreamed, in live-action her will is that she can be completely fearless, just, courageous and true to claim the place to the throne that her parents have prepared her to take, and thus free to herself and the residents of the kingdom of the tyrannical reign of the bad queen.
4. The development of romance with Jonathan

Although Snow White’s main purpose has changed a little, there is still a lot of romance – which does not happen to an enchanted prince, but with a young man named Jonathan, who the princess knows when he invades the castle to steal potatoes to feed the people who live hungry while the queen controls everything that residents produce.
As much as they have different realities, they want the same: justice, which causes them to approach and see one another that had forgotten that there was, after all, with mutual support, confidence and determination, they realize that there is still kindness in the world, and find the possibility of living, rather than just surviving.
5. The seven allies of the forest

Sorna, dengo, happy, atchim, master, angry, Dunga are there, but make no mistake, they are not dwarf as described in the animation, after all, Disney had already revealed that in the new adaptation they would be “magic creatures”, which is confirmed in the live-action with the revelation that they have existed for a few hundred years, and in a scene in which they imply that they have special mines in stones precious.
Still, they have the same personalities as in the drawing, which are explored, with a special Dunga focus, which receives a greater prominence in this production than in animation, for having a special connection with snow white.
An important point to stand out is that, in the new feature film, they don’t need snow white like a cleaning and unpaid cook, after all, it gains importance for them to live in harmony otherwise.
