Blackpink’s Jennie reveals the greatest difficulty of the trainee season

Find out what was the biggest difficulty that Jennie, a member of Blackpink, had to face during her six years as a trainee

To become a K-Pop idol, after being able to join an entertainment company, aspiring artists need to go through a training period, where they receive singing, dance, tongues, and everything necessary to turn it into a large global star classes.

However, being a trainee is not as quiet as it seems. In addition to tireless training hours and strict evaluations, trainees also live with uncertainty, as debut is not a guarantee and can make the person spend years training without being sure they can realize their dream.

For this reason, many artists decide to start the life of a still new trainee, as JihyoTwice, who started training at the age of eight, taking 10 years to her long -awaited debut. Other idols that also have long training periods are: JohnnyNCT, 9 years old; Miyeon(g) I-DLE, 8 years old; G-DragonBigbang, 11 years old; Seulgifrom Red Velvet, 7 years old; between others.

Jennie It explains that for her, the hardest was not to achieve the necessary score or receive good feedback, but to have to deal with frequent farewells: “Whenever evaluations happened, friends were leaving and, at that age, it was very difficult to accept,” he said.

Blackpink’s main rapper also commented that living in a constant competition has had to become a hardest person to realize her dream, and that this change began to drastically change her perspective on other trainees.

“When you are young, you learn a lot about giving and receiving love. But being a trainee was all about competition. I started thinking like ‘if that person can’t, then I must make it.’ It seemed that my view of people was getting stuck in this mindset, ”said Jennie. “It was sad when close friends left, but I had to wipe my tears and move on.”

Despite the difficult time, the singer also revealed the secret to being able to perform her long -awaited debut: determination. According to her, at that time, she put in her head that she would make her debut “no matter what happened.”

“I thought, ‘This is the only way to me.’ I abandoned school for it, and refused to believe in any uncertainty. I had a firm determination that I would definitely achieve. ”

The determination, in fact, worked. Even before debut, when it was still a trainee, Jennie began to gain prominence by performing special appearances in the songs of other great artists from YG, such as “Special” Lee hilaunched in 2013, besides “GG BE”, from SEENGRI (former Bigbang) and “Black”, from G-DragonBigbang leader.
