“ORFON” – THE TRUE HISTORY?
Among the various theories, many viewers noted that “Orphan” and its main character will be inspired by Barbora Skrlova, a woman with hypopituitarism, a condition that makes her look like a girl or teenager.
As in the film, Barbora was adopted by the Mauerov sisters, who suffered from schizophrenia. Both fell in love with the girl and took her to their place in Prague.
depending on environment daily mail, Barbora was jealous of the children and blamed them for the disasters she caused in the house. After gaining her sisters’ trust, she convinced them to join a sect where they practiced cannibalism, which eventually drove them insane and forced the Mauerova sisters into prison.
Released in 2009, “Orphan” became successful for horror films. The film production, created by Jaume Colle-Serra, will have a second part, although it will work as a prequel to the events that happened in the original film starring Vera Farmiga, Peter Sarsgaard and Isabelle Fuhrman.
