After starring the world’s most successful Korean series, ‘Round 6’, Gong Yoo joins Song Hye-Kyo, from ‘The Lesson’, in the new Netflix K-drama
After the world’s success of ‘Round 6’, Gong Yoo It is back on the screens in a new project awaited by fans. The actor, who won the world with his performance in ‘Zumbi Invasion’ and the popular Netflix series, now joins Song Hye-Kyo‘Sun Descendants’ Star and ‘The Lesson’, in the new K-Drama of the platform, ‘Show Business’. The announcement was officially made by Netflix this Monday, 10.

With South Korea’s music industry as a backdrop, ‘Show Business’ brings an attractive narrative to fans as they pass between the 1980s and 1960s. Hye-Kyo Interprets Min, a resilient woman who, after a difficult childhood, throws herself a head in the music world, seeking to conquer the stardom, with the support of her longtime best friend Dong Gu, played by Gong yoo, helping to face the challenges of life and industry. The plot also reveals that the protagonist’s mother, played by Lee Hanee (‘Knight Flower’), had taken the same path two decades earlier, but without achieving the desired success.
The cast still has big names like Kim Seol-Hyunwho will play min Hee, a friend of min already with whom he maintains a relationship of love and hatred, and CH SuNG-WONthat will bring life to Gil Yeo, a legendary composer whose songs helped shape the career of several singers. Directed from Lee Yoon-Jung (‘Coffee Prince’) and Noh hee-kyung (‘Our Blues’), the new K-Drama promises to involve the audience with a touching story and striking characters.
The debut date has not yet been released by Netflix, but expectations for the release are very high by the fans.
