With one more album being recognized by Recording Industry Association of America, Stray Kids joins BTS in a gold certification record
Did you know that “Maxident” is Stray Kids’s latest album to receive an official gold certification from Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)? The mini-album reached the feat after selling more than 500,000 units in the United States, bringing a new record to the group that equals the one won by the BTS group.
It turns out this is the fourth Stray Kids album to be certified Gold by RIAA, since before “Maxident”, “★★★★★★ (5-star)”, “Rock-Star” and “even” had already been recognized. The number is equal to that of BTS, which gained golden certification by albums such as “Map of the Soul: Persona” and “Love Yourself: Answer”, which made history in 2018 as the first album of a Korean artist to receive the certification of Riaa gold.
In addition, Stray Kids’s feat marks Riaa’s eighth general gold certification, as the group was once gold in the United States with its “God’s Menu”, “Maniac”, “Back Door” and “Thunderous” singles.
