BTS’s Jin’s donation will help rare disease patients who have difficulty getting treatment in their home countries
This Thursday, the 23rd, the Korea University Medical Center announced that Jinfrom BTS, donated 100 million won (approximately R$413,198.47) to support patients suffering from rare diseases.
The donation will be directed to the “Global Goodwill Life Love Project”, an international medical support initiative for patients from developing countries, whose economic difficulties and lack of access to medical care make recovery from rare diseases more complicated.
According to the Soompi portal, with the project, the Korea University Medical Center was able to help 10 patients with rare diseases from several countries, including Madagascar, by granting them treatment in South Korea during the past year.
“I hope this small act of kindness can bring hope to those suffering without adequate medical care in underserved areas. I want to continue participating in efforts to help save more lives, together with my global fans,” Jin said of the donation.
The medical center also revealed how much the idol’s action will make a difference. “The generous contribution of Jin is greatly supporting our international healthcare efforts. Your sincere actions will help create a warmer, healthier society.”

Debuting in the music industry in 2013, Jin is the oldest member of BTS, a group that has six other members: RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook. In addition to his almost 12-year career with the group, the idol also has solo projects, as he debuted as a soloist with the single “The Astronaut”, released on October 28, 2022.
