When will BLACKPINK’s Jennie release ‘Ruby’, her first solo album

COME HERE! The long-awaited album by Jennieby BLACKPINK, was announced by ODDATELIER this Wednesday, 22nd. Titled “Ruby”, the project has a debut date for March 7th, and is marked by being the artist’s first solo studio album.

“Ruby” will feature a total of 15 tracks, with collaborations with big names in the industry such as Childish Gambino, Dua Lipa, Doechii, Dominic Fike, FKJ and Kali Uchis, as well as including the singer’s most recent hit, ‘Mantra’.

About ‘Ruby’

Previously, Jennie told in a recent interview with Billboard about being completely focused on her first studio album, immersed in creating her own sound now that she has started her journey on her independent record label, ODDATELIER.

The singer also highlighted that the process of creating “Ruby” has not been easy. The search for the ideal sound, which culminated in the release of the single “Mantra”, was a challenging experience. She acknowledged that the work involved was much more demanding than expected, but her dedication to the project has been total.

“I didn’t want to be forced to put a song on my album,” she said.

With the focus entirely on launching your personal project and building your artistic identity, Jennie said she was excited about the freedom to make decisions on her own. Although the process of being in charge of your career can be daunting at times, the singer sees it as a source of personal fulfillment.

In 2023, during BLACKPINK’s tour, the singer began listing her personal goals, one of which was releasing a solo album and exploring her creative identity more deeply. “I wanted to satisfy myself by achieving this goal”, she explained, reinforcing that the creation of the record label was a way of working alongside a team that shared her vision and supported her on her solo journey.
