Remember what Jungkook, member of BTS, already said about the collaboration between TXT and Anitta with the song ‘Back For More’
For any fan of an international artist, one of the moments that the entire fandom looks forward to is following an interaction between their favorite star and their country — be it with a concert announcement, a small message through a video, or when they surprise us by saying that they have something relationship with the nation.
In k-pop, for example, countless idols have a direct connection with Brazil, such as Markfrom GOT7, who lived for a few years in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, and has a brother who was born in Brazilian lands; Heejinfrom LOONA and ARTMS, who lived in Brazil for a month, but still has family here; Woodzknown by Brazilian fans as Luizinho, who played for Corinthians’ youth team when he was younger; and many others.
Another moment that can leave any fan ecstatic is when we see interactions between Brazilian celebrities and our favorite artists. In 2023, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, also known as TXT, surprised MOAs with the release of the song “Back for More” in collaboration with Anita.
The track, which served as a pre-release for the album “The Name Chapter: FREFALL”, even has funk influences, had its first performance during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), with the Brazilian taking the stage next to Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai. Remember!
In addition to the performance giving something to talk about on social media, it also surprised some names in the industry itself. In the same year, during an interview with Audacy Music, Jungkooka member of BTS, was asked if he had watched the VMAs and which performance he liked the most, with the idol citing the Brazilian’s performance alongside her company colleagues.
“Actually, I’m their sunbaenim (senior) in the company. I watched the TOMORROW X TOGETHER presentation with Anitta and I really liked it. It was an incredible performance. I was very proud of them,” said the singer.
