Olivia Rodrigo was named Best New Artist. In the category of best rock performance, success went to the song Making A Fire by the Foo Fighters. The award for best metal performance went to The Alien of the Dream Theater.
Olivia Rodrigo’s Drivers License won the pop category, while Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett’s Love for Sale won best pop album. Best Dance/Electronic Recording went to Alive Rüfüs Du Sol, Best Dance Album went to Subconsciously Black Coffee.
The Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance was awarded by HER for Fight For You.
Kanye West and Jay-Z (Jail) won Best Rap Song and Tyler, the Creator (Call Me If You Get Lost) won Best Rap Album.
It will be recalled that the next Grammy ceremony was supposed to take place on Jan. 31 at the Staples concert venue in Los Angeles, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was decided to reschedule.
