GOT7’s Jinyoung appears in new photos from K-drama ‘The Witch’

Check out new photos of GOT7 member Jinyoung, who will be the protagonist of the new K-drama, ‘The Witch’, alongside Roh Jeong Eui

Korean film and series production company Channel A has released the first footage of its new romance-thriller K-drama “The Witch.” StarringJinyoungmember of the boy group GOT7, and the actress Roh Jeong Euithe series will tell the story of Lee Dong Jin (Jinyoung), who is a well-known data miner in the industry and who tries at all costs to prove that the woman he loves, Park Mi Jeong, is not a witch as they say, transferring to the statistics department.

Based on the webtoon by Kang Fullauthor of “Moving”, the drama promises to explore the relationship between the two protagonists as Dong Jin tries to prove that Mi Jeong is not responsible for the misfortunes that surround her. After meeting again in adulthood, he uses his analytical skills to unravel the mystery surrounding the tragedies around her.

The character of Roh Jeong Eui is haunted by a mysterious past, which she longs for love, but her life always returns her to loneliness. His life is marked by devastating losses. From her mother’s death in childbirth to the tragic accidents that took the lives of her boyfriends, Mi Jeong is seen by society as a cursed figure, known only as “the witch.”

Teaser

Last Sunday, the first teaser for the K-drama was also released, leaving fans intrigued and promising intense emotions as it addressed themes such as love, loneliness and the weight of a tragic destiny. The preview is full of dark tones, with images that capture the melancholy and pain of the protagonists. It ranges from emotional scenes, such as Mi Jeong alone in a snowy landscape, symbolizing the isolation that has haunted her since her youth, to supporting characters such as Joo Jong Hyuk.

Scheduled to premiere on February 15, 2025, ‘The Witch’ will be shown on Saturdays and Sundays on Channel A, with 10 episodes.
