Check out some series that, like ‘The Last of Us’, will get new seasons in 2025 and that you can’t miss
Last Monday night, the 6th, the co-creator, screenwriter and executive producer of the series “The Last of Us”, Neil Druckmannannounced during a press conference that the long-awaited second season of the Emmy-winning production will arrive on the Max streaming platform and the HBO channel in April.
Along with the announcement of the release date, the series also got the last trailer before its debut, where we can get an idea of the emotions that will be presented in the seven new episodes. Check it out!
In addition to “The Last of Us”, 2025 will also feature the return of other great series that you can’t miss. Check out some!
1. The White Lotus
Scheduled to premiere on February 16th on the Max streaming platform, the third season of “The White Lotus” will be set in Thailand, and will feature a special appearance byLisamember of BLACKPINK, who will play the character Mook, a girl who, in the trailers, appears working as a hotel employee, in addition to being a dancer.
2. Doctor Who
The second season of “Doctor Who” with the 15th Doctor, played by Ncuti Gatwais scheduled to premiere in May 2025, according to information from the ScreenRant portal, and has the following synopsis: “The Doctor meets Belinda Chandra and begins an epic journey to bring her back to Earth. But a mysterious force is preventing her return and the time-traveling team of the TARDIS must face greater dangers, greater enemies and wider terrors than ever before.”
3. Wandinha
The recordings for the second season of “Wandinha”, a series that follows the life of the youngest daughter of the Addams Family, were completed in early December 2024, and will feature the return of Jenna Ortega in the main role, in addition to names like Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Emma Myers (Enid), Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Richie Santiago), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley) and Luis Guzman (Gomez). The production is scheduled to premiere later this year, however, no date has been announced.
4. Stranger Things
Marking the end of one of Netflix’s most popular franchises, “Stranger Things” will receive its fifth and final season later this year, however, no release date has yet been announced. In the new episodes, Hawkins’ squad will need to face their deadliest enemy yet, at serious risk to their lives.
5. Round 6
Although the second season premiered recently, in December 2024, the third and final season of “Round 6” has already been confirmed. Rumors suggest that the new episodes should debut in June this year, where the public will finally be able to find out if Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung Jae) managed to carry out his revenge.
