After rumors about the release of G-Dragon’s new album, Galaxy Corporation clarified the situation. See what the company said!
This Monday, the 6th, the South Korean portal TenAsia (via Soompi), reported that G-Dragona member of BIGBANG, is expected to release his long-awaited solo full-album in February, featuring his recent releases “POWER” and “HOME SWEET HOME”, in collaboration with his groupmates, Taeyang and Daesung.
After the repercussion of the matter, Galaxy Corporation, the company responsible for managing the career of G-Dragonspoke about the information, saying that “It is true that the agency is currently working on plans [para o lançamento do álbum solo de G-Dragon em fevereiro]but nothing has been finalized yet.”
It is worth remembering that, if the full-album is confirmed, this will be the artist’s first full-length album in 13 years, as his last full-album, “COUP D’ETAT”, was released in 2012, containing 12 tracks in total and four title tracks: “Crooked”, “Niliria”, “Who You?” and “Black” (featJennieby BLACKPINK).
In October 2024, G-Dragon made their first comeback in seven years with the single “POWER”. In November, during the MAMA Awards 2024, he returned to the stage for the first time since 2017, where he released the song “HOME SWEET HOME”, in collaboration with Taeyang and Daesungalso members of BIGBANG.
In addition to the performance, the star also took home the award for “Musical Visionary of the Year”, giving a speech referring to his legendary rap made in 2014 at the same awards show, where he accused MAMA of manipulating the awards, resulting in his ban of the event.
“It’s been a while, MAMA. You’re giving out big prizes, you hand them out generously so your kids don’t fight,” the singer said in his thanks, referencing his rap where he sings: “It’s been a year MAMA. It seems like you are giving out big prizes, you hand them out generously so the kids don’t fight. I’m all grown up, so I get full just watching it. Just give the children some food.”
In the month of December, G-Dragon also attracted attention when he participated in the SBS Gayo Daejeon 2024 year-end ceremony, where he performed the tracks “POWER”, “SOBER” and “Crooked”. Watch!
