GOT7’s Yugyeom reveals he will enlist in the army ‘soon’

GOT7 member Yugyeom confirms enlistment for 2025, as group prepares for comeback and solo tour before break

Yugyeoma member of GOT7, revealed in a recent interview with Ginza Magazine that his mandatory military enlistment will take place in 2025, news that is already generating great attention among his fans. Before his break, the idol is determined to make the most of his time with his admirers, through new music releases and a busy schedule.

During the conversation, the star said, “As I’m going to enlist soon, I want to provide as much music as possible to my fans and meet them a lot.”

One of the main attractions this year is GOT7’s long-awaited comeback, scheduled for January 20th, a special moment that promises to bring together the group’s members for the first time after three years and provide AHGASEs with another remarkable phase in the group’s career.

Although his enlistment was initially scheduled for 2026, Yugyeom chose to anticipate it, aligning with the trend of some other members of the ’97-liners’ group of friends, such as Jungkook (BTS) and Jaehyun (NCT), who have already started their military services earlier than expected. Furthermore, another member of GOT7, Youngjaewill also begin its enlistment in 2025, making the year a transition period for the group.

In parallel to his comeback, the singer continues his solo “Trusty” tour, which has been extended until 2025, offering more opportunities to connect with his followers and continue celebrating his music. He expressed his desire for 2025 to be a year filled with meeting fans and sharing his art before he leaves for his mandatory military service.

Despite the sadness over the imminent break, fans show great enthusiasm for the projects Yugyeom and GOT7. Expectations are high for what the artist still has to offer before his break, and the group’s dedication to maintaining the bond with their followers is clear. The year 2025 will, without a doubt, be marked by temporary goodbyes, but also by celebrations and new releases.
