K-pop idols who will be discharged from the army in 2025

Check out other K-pop idols who, like the members of BTS, are also expected to be discharged from the South Korean army in 2025

The long-awaited year of ARMYs has finally arrived! This is because, after almost three years on hiatus, 2025 will mark BTS’s official return to promotional activities, after all members complete the period of mandatory military service imposed on men in South Korea.

Last year, Jin and J-Hope They became the first members to be released from the Armed Forces, being released from the army in June and October, respectively. Since then, the duo has been back active, focusing on their solo projects.

As a result, the group still has five members enlisted in the army: Suga, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook. The next scheduled to be discharged are V and leader RM, who enlisted together on December 11, 2023, and are also expected to leave side by side on June 10.

The very next day, Jungkook and Jimin should also be released, as the pair enlisted together on December 12, 2023 in the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon County. Finally, Sugawho serves as a civil servant, will be the last member to be dismissed, with his departure scheduled for June 21st.

6. Taeyong from NCT

Leader of SM Entertainment’s supergroup, NCT, consisting of 25 members, Taeyong He enlisted in the navy on April 15, 2024, and is scheduled to be discharged on December 14 of this year.


7. Sehun from EXO
