NewJeans made an important donation to help children and teenagers in need; discover the value of the action!
The members of NewJeans, Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyeintook a charitable attitude by making a donation of 100 million KRW (around 428.9 thousand reais at the current price) to support children and teenagers who take on the responsibility of caring for family members in need.
The donation, made to ChildFund Korea (also known as the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation), was made in the name of the group’s fandom, the Bunnies, and aims to alleviate the difficulties faced by these young people, allowing them to focus more on their own growth and well-being. -being, in addition to guaranteeing essential support for their families.
Aimed at 30 families across the country, the donation will offer financial support for essential expenses such as housing, food, education and health. Furthermore, ChildFund Korea will use the resources to help these children and teenagers gain more independence, offering professional support and employment opportunities so they can build a better and more stable future.
In a statement about the donation, members shared their feelings, saying:
“We wanted to support the healthy growth of children and teenagers who care for their families, offering essential help and encouraging their independence. We will continue to pay attention to these children so they can find and achieve their dreams.” The group demonstrated deep care for the well-being of those involved, showing that, even with their lives being busy and full of commitments, they genuinely care about those who need support most.
Shin Jung Wonhead of ChildFund Korea’s Social Contribution Cooperation Division, also expressed his gratitude for the donation, highlighting the impact of the action: “We hope this support will help ease the daily burden these children and teenagers face and allow them to focus on their own growth and independence. We will continue to offer support so they can grow in a welcoming and encouraging environment.”
This attitude from the members of NewJeans not only shows the supportive side of the group, coming after the turbulent moment experienced by them after recently terminating their contracts with ADOR and starting to follow independently on social media. The donation reflects their desire to use their influence to make a positive impact on society, while continuing their careers with greater freedom and autonomy.
