First film in the new DCU, ‘Superman’ got a trailer introducing characters and conflict spoilers; understand what happens!
The ‘Superman’ trailer is finally among us! Released this Thursday, the 19th, the preview presents the characters who told the first story of the new DC Universe (DCU), in addition to giving clues about the conflicts that will be addressed in the plot.
What happens in the ‘Superman’ trailer?
The video begins with the hero, played by David Corenswetextremely injured on the ground. Soon after, there is confirmation that Krypto, Superman’s pet dog, will be in the film, as he was called by Clark Kent’s alter-ego with the request that the pet take him home.
At another time, Pruitt Taylor Vince is seen as Jonathan Kent, known affectionately as Pa Kent, who was a farmer from Smallville, Kansas, in the United States and ends up adopting Clark. In the scene, father and son hug.
Moving forward a few seconds, there are sequences in the Daily Planet, the newspaper where Kent will work as a reporter, and also the place where Rachel Brosnahan is introduced as Lois Lane, the romantic interest of the one who was born as Kal-El on Krypton. The moment also marks the beginning of Kent’s journey as a hero in the city of Metropolis, USA.
There is also the first heroic scene of Kent saving the life of a little girl wearing the classic blue costume with the red and yellow crest, followed by the first image of LuthorCorp and its owner, Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) — who is Superman’s greatest enemy. He appears holding a gun, raising even more curiosity about what this moment holds in the film.
Furthermore, the trailer presents the conflict in a country called Boravia, a fictional nation in Europe featured in issue 2 of Superman magazine and existing on Earth-1 and Earth-1, which is followed by quick images that present Edi Gathegi like Mr. Incredible, Isabella Merced in the Hawkgirl costume, Nathan Fillion playing Guy Gardner and Anthony Carrigan as the hero Metamorpho, one of the Green Lanterns, as well as Superman’s Fortress of Solitude.
