K-pop idols are reported to the CIA for political reasons

After supporting the impeachment of President Yoon Seok Yeol in South Korea, South Korean idols and artists were reported to the CIA

This Tuesday, the 17th, a list was revealed by the online community forum DC Inside People Power Party Gallery where famous k-pop names, such as UI and NewJeans, as well as several other South Korean artists who supported the protests in favor of the president’s impeachment Yoon Seok Yeolwere reported by internet users to the United States Central Intelligence Agency, the CIA.

This is because the forum was fed with screenshots of the complaints made so that more people could help check the progress of the case.

In case of UIfor example, among the arguments used to pursue the accusation were the meals and snacks she provided to those present at the protests against the president. A report also said that the idol was “actively supporting communist forces”, as reported by The Korea Herald.

In addition to the accusation, made by users with politically conservative inclinations, there is also the defense of the need to boycott the artists and the brands managed by them, in addition to encouraging more complaints to be made, as this could harm the artists’ performance in the United States. with a possible spy investigation into celebrities.

It is worth remembering that the complaint against the celebrities was made through an online website created by the CIA so that incidents can be reported. To submit a report, it is necessary to provide a telephone number and email address, as revealed by the Koreaboo portal.

Currently, the president Yoonis preparing for an impeachment trial, as the bill to remove him from office was approved on December 14th.

He will also be criminally investigated after, for the first time in 40 years, martial law was applied in South Korea. He placed the country under military command on December 3, saying he needed to “cleanse” North Korean supporters who were in the country, thus preventing political activities such as councils and protests.
