Exclusive photos reveal details of Sam Wilson, the new Captain America, with the Red Hulk in the new Marvel film
The latest edition of Empire magazine has just been released and features two special covers honoring the long-awaited ‘Captain America: Brave New World’. In them, the public can see never-before-seen photos of Sam Wilson as Captain America and Harrison Ford in the role of Red Hulk.
The magazine takes a deep dive into this new chapter of the franchise, with exclusive interviews from Anthony Mackie and Fordplus contributions from co-stars Xosha Roquemore and Danny Ramirez. The director Julius Onah and the producer Nate Moore reveal the challenges of creating a political thriller with an angry president at the center of the plot, while Tim Blake Nelson returns as The Leader, expanding the narrative started in ‘The Incredible Hulk’. Five years have passed since Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evanssaid goodbye to the MCU in “Avengers: Endgame”, handing over his iconic vibranium shield to Sam Wilson, the Falcon, played by Mackie.
Now, three years after the series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, in which Wilson finally took on the mantle of Captain America, the actor is about to take a new and big step in the franchise. In “Captain America: Brave New World”, directed by Julius Onahthe hero will have to face immense challenges, ranging from old enemies and government intrigues to the feared Red Hulk.
Harrison Fordin turn, assumes the iconic role of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, now president of the United States, after the death of William Hurtwho played the character previously. The cast also features other well-known names, such as Tim Blake Nelson and Liv Tylerboth from “The Incredible Hulk”, in addition to Carl Lumbly and Shira Haas. During reshoots, Giancarlo Espositofrom “The Boys” and “Breaking Bad”, joined the team as one of the plot’s villains.
After several postponements, Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World” is scheduled to premiere on February 13, 2025. The film will also serve as the introduction to “Thunderbolts”, which hits theaters three months later, with Ford back in the role of General Ross.
