This Monday, the 9th, the official list of nominees for the 2025 Golden Globe awards was released, which is one of the main events leading up to the long-awaited Oscars. The event that awards the best films and series of 2024, takes place on January 5th in Los Angeles, in the United States and will be presented by the American comedian Nikki Glaser.

Creating huge expectations, the film “I’m Still Here” represents Brazilians in this year’s edition, with emphasis on Fernanda Torreswho competes in the category of ‘Best Actress in a drama film’, for the role of Eunice Paiva, in addition to the feature film Walter Salles also be nominated for ‘Best Non-English Language Film’.

Other names that draw attention to the list are: “Rivals”, “Conclave“, “The Brutalist“, “Wicked: Part One”, “Emilia Perez“, among others.

Following controversy over management, the awards underwent a significant overhaul, with the inclusion of a more diverse voting body and an increase in the number of nominees, reflecting efforts to make it more inclusive and representative, now under the command of Dick Clark Productions and Todd Boehly’s Eldridge.
