The difficulties that BTS’s Jin faces in his personal life

Jinfrom BTS, is one of the most popular South Korean celebrities of all time! The feat was achieved by a series of factors, among them, the various sold-out shows, interviews around the world, awards and honors in ceremonies and representation of famous brands such as Gucci, actions that constantly place him in the spotlight, having including his departure and return from the army captured on camera.

Even though he has a huge legion that admires him across the globe, Jin revealed in the latest episode of KStarNextDoor4 that faces a difficulty in his personal life: having friends!

In the world of celebrities, it is common for artists to have many contacts, so much so that it is not difficult to remember great famous friendships, an example being the well-known groups of k-pop friends who are the same age, such as 97 line, formed by Jungkookfrom BTS; Yugyeom and BamBamfrom GOT7; Mingyu,The8 and D.K. from Seventeen; Cha Eun Woofrom Astro; Jaehyun from NCT and Bangchanby Stray Kids, for example, who are constantly seen together.

However, Jin reveals that he is not that lucky. In the episode, the presenter Jonathan asked the idol: “Is it true that you don’t even have three famous friends?”, remembering that during the research carried out by the program, they saw that his friends Jin “They were veterans like Baek Jong Won“, who is a South Korean chef who the voice of “The Astronaut” met on an episode of “Run BTS!” in 2021, to which Jin responded by stating that Baek Jong Won is the friend you see most often:

“I can say Baek Jong Won is my best friend because I’ve never met anyone like him before. He calls me once a day. I prefer texting, so I don’t make calls. But if I text him for something, he calls me. We also play together,” Jin said.

When asked if having few friends would be a result of the idol’s fame, Jin revealed that even though he is a celebrity, he cannot form connections like other artists, and that despite wanting to get closer to more people, he does not see opportunities for this to happen.

“I don’t have many contacts. People in this field have 2,000 or 3,000 numbers saved in their phones. I’m also in this field. But including people from my agency, my family, my friends and everyone, I only have about 120 people. It’s more or less that. I only have a few. I want to meet people, but I don’t have the chance to do that.”

Therefore, Jonathan theorized that it is possible that the idol no longer has friends because people may think that they have no chance of having a friendship with Jinto which the artist responded: “That’s the problem. People think it’s not easy to see me again, so they never call me. I wish they would.”

In 2022, Jin was on “My Alcohol Diary”, where he revealed the Lee Young Ji: “I became a trainee when I was 19. Since then, I haven’t had any friends.” He then explained why he thought this happened: “Most people don’t want to be our friends [do BTS] because she feels pressured.”

In the same year, Jin made an appearance on the YouTube channel “Hal Myung Soo”, where Park Myung Soo noted that the two had a lot in common, jokingly asking: “You don’t have many friends, do you?”, to which the idol replied in a good-natured way: “How did you know?” When parkMyung Soo revealed that it was okay that the idol didn’t have friends, Jin he stated: “I don’t think so”, making it clear that he would like to have more friendships.
