TV hit Stranger Things is getting a spin-off series and production, Netflix announced Wednesday, to the delight of fans of teens battling Upside Down in Hawkins.

Created by brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, weird things’ follows the adventures of a group of teenagers in the small fictional American town of Hawkins, whose role-playing world is turned upside down when they meet Eleven, a young woman with supernatural powers.

The just-released fourth season tops Netflix’s absolute English-language series rankings, which measures the number of hours spent on TV in the first 28 days of launch.

Second only to Squid Game, Stranger Things adds over 1.15 billion hours of streaming, and that number should increase considering the latest episodes were released on Friday.

A fifth season of the series has been confirmed, bringing back the 1980s nostalgia with which the Duffer Brothers hope to close the “narrative arc” of the story.

The Stranger Things universe continues.

However, in February, Matt and Ross Duffer announced that “there are still many stories to tell in the world.”weird things'”.

The Duffer Brothers have also launched their new production company, Upside Down Pictures, which will collaborate on, among other things, a new series based on “weird things’.

“The goal of Upside Down Pictures is to create the stories that inspired the Duffers. Stories that take place at the beautiful crossroads between the ordinary and the extraordinary,” reads a statement released by Netflix.

The streaming giant and the Duffer Brothers also present a play that explores mythology “weird things’, which will be directed by Stephen Daldry (The Crown, Billy Elliot), as well as an adaptation of the popular Japanese anime series ‘Death Note’.

“Matt and Ross are exceptional talents with such a sharp and clear vision,” said Ted Sarandos, director of content for Netflix. ‘Not by chance’weird things’ has become the pop culture phenomenon that it is.”

The expansion of Hawkins’ supernatural world comes at a time when Netflix faces pressure, loses followers, and sees its share price drop.

EER 4×06 BETTY LA FEA leaves Netflix as the best streaming service

Ugly Betty is one of those sweet soap operas that turned ordinary situations into a TV phenomenon. In this episode, we discuss what we like (or dislike) most about the telenovela created by Fernando Gaitan, the villains, the characters, and even reflect on our own lives (as always, you already know us). You don’t listen anymore.
