After leaving ADOR, NewJeans still plans new music and a world tour

During the press conference held today, the 28th, Danielle, a member of NewJeans, revealed the plans that the group wants to carry out in 2025

During an emergency press conference held by NewJeans this Thursday, 28th, Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein announced the termination of their exclusive contracts with ADOR and HYBE, and that they would be leaving the agencies as of midnight on November 29, 2024.

The decision comes after the deadline stipulated by the artists sent a content certification to the company on November 13, asking the companies to rectify all significant violations of their contracts — a request that has not been responded to for some time.

During their statement, the group stated that “HYBE and the current ADOR are not demonstrating any willingness to carry out reforms or listen to our requests”, in addition to also highlighting that “ADOR does not have the will or ability to protect NewJeans. If we remain here, it will be a waste of time, and our mental anguish will continue. More than anything, there is nothing we can gain in terms of our work, so the five of us feel that there is no reason at all to stay at ADOR.”

Despite leaving HYBE and ADOR, the quintet made a point of highlighting that this will not be the end of NewJeans and that, in addition to being willing to fight for the name, the quintet also has plans to return to activities next year, with new music and a world tour, as revealed by Danielle (via Koreaboo).

“So basically, when we leave ADOR, we will try to freely pursue the activities we really want. Especially with the schedules that have already been organized, we will do our best to continue them without any hassle. We really wish we could release new music for Bunnies next year, as soon as possible, whenever that may be. And we really hope to have the opportunity to meet you from all over the world. Lastly, we are well aware that as of today we may not be able to use our current NewJeans name, however, this does not mean we are giving up on the name, and we will continue to fight for NewJeans. Regardless of our name, remember that NewJeans will never die,” said the member.
