The trailer for the movie The Death of Putin has been released

Polish director Patrick Vega’s satirical saga, which combines real facts, fiction and deepfake technology, will be released on the big screens of Ukraine on January 16, 2025.

The political action film The Death of Putin by Polish director Patrick Vega will appear in Ukrainian theaters on January 16, 2025. On the eve of the premiere, the creators presented a teaser trailer, which intrigued the audience.

The film was created using deepfake technology and explores the dark side of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s life. The film combines real facts, biting satire and artistic vision, revealing the true essence of the events related to his regime. Viewers will be shown what lies behind the facade of his palaces and bunkers – vulnerability, crime and cynicism.

“I’ve always wanted to make a film about Russian organized crime. When Putin invaded Ukraine, I realized that the moment had come to tell the story of Russia’s most desperate criminal – Putin himself. So, let’s start in , I changed the original script, focusing more on his biography,” said Patrick Vega.

In the film, the director reimagined events such as apartment bombings, FSB operations, the siege of the Dubrovka theater and the transfer of power from Yeltsin to Putin.

Filming took place in Poland, Ukraine, Israel, Jordan, Aleppo and even Russia. The Death of Putin is the first film to actively use deepfake technology to create the greatest visual authenticity.

It was previously reported that Netflix has unveiled a trailer for the second season of the South Korean hit Squid Game.
