What is Wicked about?
The prequel to “The Wizard of Oz”, “Wicked”, adapts the 1995 book “Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz”, written by Gregory Maguire. In the plot, Elphaba and Glinda’s destinies intertwine at Shiz University when they become roommates. At first, they don’t like each other, but they soon develop an unexpected friendship.
However, their dynamic changes when Elphaba decides to seek out the Wizard of Oz so he can help her resolve the new local policy, which aims to silence the anthropomorphic animal population of Oz.
