At the time, the idol sang the following verse: “It’s been a year MAMA. It seems like you are giving out big prizes, you hand them out generously so the kids don’t fight. I’m all grown up, so I get full just watching it. Just give the children some food.”
At the beginning of his thanks, after receiving the award for “Musical Visionary of the Year”, he said: “It’s been a while, MAMA. You are giving out big prizes, you give them out generously so your children don’t fight.”
Check out the full translation of his speech G-Dragon:
“It’s been a while, MAMA. You are giving out big prizes, you give them out generously so your children don’t fight.
So I ended up receiving this significant award today, personally for me as well as for our group. We played at MAMA for the first time in 2007 and, personally, for me it is also my return to the stage after 7 years.
It’s been 17 years, so on this significant day it will become a good memory for me, thanks to Mnet who gave me this award. There are many people I have to thank, but I will summarize. First of all, Yang Hyun Suk and the YG family, and my new family, Galaxy Cooperation, and all the people who helped me, the members I love even though you can’t see them now. And thanks to VIP [fandom do BIGBANG] that shone the yellow light there to welcome me. I’m not sure if I can receive this award again after receiving it once, but I will try not to lose it next year.”
